Job description:

As a Computational chemist at Material Evolution, you will play a crucial role in our material discovery and development process. You will collaborate with a team of material scientists, chemists, engineers, and machine learning engineers to design and optimise the next generation of cements using data driven methods. Your expertise in material modelling, simulation, and data analysis will be essential in guiding experimental decisions and accelerating the discovery of the next generations of cements. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement computational strategies to support material development projects.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to design and optimise algorithms to optimise the next generation of cements.
• Apply a systematic methodologies to material modelling and design.
• Understand material reaction kinetics and hands on techniques, XRD, XRF etc to model new cements.
• Utilise material modelling and simulation techniques to characterise reaction kinetics.
• Analyse and interpret lab data, simulation data and provide insights to both the science and machine learning team.
• Developing lab-based experiments and collecting Data that will enable the development of Mevo’s Algorithms.
• Using literature, market trends and industry conferences to inform development of materials.
• Prepare reports, manuscripts, proposals and technical manuals for use by other scientists and external stake holders.
